If your wedding is out of town, arrange travel and/or accommodations with the photographer.
If the ceremony/reception is indoors, prepare to have adequate ambient lighting in the venue. Preferably lots of natural light from big windows and a large open space. If there are no windows, please plan to have enough other light that our cameras can focus.
If we are taking photos of the reception for more than an hour, don't forget to include us on your guest list for food & seating. We will need to be included at a table that is served early on. That way we can be finished eating by the time we are needed to capture speeches, toasts, first dance etc. Sometimes we are forgotten on the catering list, but it's important that we are able to keep our energy up since we will have been working for hours without a break by this point. Thank you for your consideration.(There will be two seats required for photographer and assistant/second shooter.)
Decide exact times for various parts of the day to discuss with photographer at final consult.
Choose the location(s) of the photos and inform the photographer. For example, if there will be various locations throughout the day, you will need to account for travel time when you book the number of hours we are covering.
*Optional* Create a Pinterest board and send it to us! We would love to get a feel for your style and what kind of photos and poses you are looking for, whether they're fun and silly shots, romantic and boho, or anything in-between!
Decide if you want to purchase any Northern Persona Products for your wedding. This can include Save-the-Dates, Invitations, Thank-You cards, pre-ordered collages/prints/photo blocks.
Decide if you want to book an engagment shoot with us. If you did not want the 2hr option we gave in the wedding form, you can also contact us and be put on a waiting list for a half hour or 10 minute minis. (Keep in mind these options do not give you the ability to choose the location or time, but you can get into one of our photo events as chosen ahead of time by the photographer).

Arrange transportation to photo locations (if we are leaving the ceremony site).
Hang the Dress. It is our recommendation that you hang it a few days in advance so that it gets aired out and any wrinkles fall out before the day of.
Send final payment (plus gst).
Fill out your Wedding Photo Checklist (before final consult). If you have not received your copy of the checklist, please email northernpersona@telus.net to request one.
Attend Final Consult. Northern Persona will book this with you for the week of the wedding.
If we're capturing photos of you getting ready, prep the rooms we'll be in. Make sure that the room is clear of any clutter so that the photos will be focused on the most important elements! Windows are an absolute must, so choose the room accordingly.

Family members should be informed about the location and time they need to meet for photos. This way we can get family photos done quickly and head off to wherever we are doing wedding party and couple photos asap!
Inform the officiant of any announcements they must make regarding photos. For example, if your family photos are at the same location as the ceremony, it helps to announce that you'll be off doing family photos for the time being and other guests should allow space and time without distractions.
Prepare your accessories for the photographer. While you are getting ready, we like to take your accessories aside and get detail shots of them. Examples of accessories: bouquet, jewellery, shoes, any gifts for the wedding party or bride, invitation, boutonnières etc.
